Beginning with the 2025-2026 school year, a new Arkansas law—the Bell to Bell, No Cell Act—requires schools to strictly limit students' use of personal electronic devices during the school day. This includes cell phones, tablets, laptops, smartwatches, and other personal devices.
If Archer students bring these items to school, they must be stored in a locked location for the entire school day—from the first bell to the last. Students who prefer not to have their phones stored can leave them in their vehicles or at home.
Last year, Archer piloted a phone-free environment during instructional time. However, this new law extends the restrictions to cover the entire school day, requiring a more comprehensive approach.
Thank you for partnering with us to support a focused, distraction-free learning environment.

We are excited to welcome Mrs. Mahan in her new role as Assistant Principal.

Welcome to our new School Nurse, Ms. Trisa Osborne.
"Hi, this is Trisa Osborne. I am pleased to announce that I have accepted the position of Nurse at Archer. I am excited to meet students, staff, and families. My medical career started in high school as a summer volunteer at a children's hospital. I became a nurses aid, LPN, then an RN. I have worked in hospitals, Arkansas Health Department, and Springdale School District. Pediatrics is my passion. My hobbies include basically anything outdoors: hiking, biking, skiing, scuba diving, etc... I hope everyone had a wonderful summer and I'll see you in August!"

We are happy to welcome Mr. Randy Bowman to the team!
"What’s up everyone! I’m Randy Bowman, a proud Fayetteville native, newly engaged, and a father to two amazing kids, Rayna and Randy III, aka Rambo. I’m passionate about sports (huge Lakers fan), and I love all kinds of music. I play both guitar and bass, and I’m always down for good vibes and great conversations. I’m a people person through and through. Building real, lasting connections is important to me, especially with the students I work with. I believe in supporting the whole child, that’s emotionally, mentally, and academically. Every moment is a chance to make a positive impact in a young person’s life, and I’m committed to helping them grow and reach their full potential, whatever that may look like for them."

We are excited to welcome Ms. Patty Perez to our team!
"Hello my name is Patty Perez. I enjoy reaching my daily walking goals, my relaxing sauna time, biking and drawing. I love being a team player and are excited to give my new team and students the support they need."

We are excited to welcome our new Math and Science teacher, Ms. Meredith Larsen!
"Hi! I’m Meredith Larsen. This will be my 12th year of teaching. I’m a graduate of the University of Arkansas and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Before teaching I worked in archeology, and I entered teaching through a non-traditional pathway and found my true passion in working with young people. I have three children, ranging in age from 9 to 18 and two dogs. In my spare time, I like being outside, whether it’s just going for a walk or working in the garden. I’m excited to be part of the team at Archer!"

We are excited to Welcome Dr. Crystal Smith as our new counselor!
"I’m honored to join Archer Learning Center as your new school counselor! With 19 years of experience in secondary education as a CTE Teacher, Counselor, and Work-Based Learning Coordinator, I bring a deep passion for helping students grow and succeed. I believe that meaningful relationships are the foundation of student success, and I’m committed to creating a supportive space where every student feels seen, heard, and empowered. I’m looking forward to building brighter futures together!"🌟 ~ Dr. Crystal Smith
