Wrangler Families: Just a reminder that we will have our Drive Through Open House this afternoon from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. This is your opportunity to pick up your student's ID, schedule, other important information to start out the school year, and your Chromebook if you did not come by and grab it during our Chromebook pick-up day. We hope that we will have a huge turn out! Again, please be patient with us as George Elementary will also be hosting their own open house during the same time. Traffic could get heavy at times, but we will make every effort to get everyone through safely and in a timely manner. ATTENTION Parents of Wrangler Football Players: On Thursday, August 12, at 6:00 there will be a VERY IMPORTANT parent/guardian meeting for football players and their families. Wrangler Families: We are here ready to pass out Chromebooks and Student IDs if you would like to beat the rush or can't make it tomorrow to the Drive Through Open House. We will be here ready to pass them out from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm. Just come up to the front of the school, and we will come out and get you everything you need! Thanks so much! Wrangler Families: Just a reminder that tomorrow, August 11th, from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm, you and/or your student can come by the school and pick up their Chromebook and charger. We will also have their Student ID available to pick up as well. If you have no yet filled out the Digital Technology AUA, please do as ASAP! There will be a few computers available for you to fill out the form while you are at school, but we would prefer if you have it filled out prior to your arrival. Students must have a parent or guardian with them to fill out the Digital Technology AUA at school. Students will not be able to take their Chromebook without the form filled out. There are no exceptions to this rule. Every student must have this form filled out or they will not be given a Chromebook to use during the school year. Also, please remember there will be other opportunities to come by and grab your Chromebook, your Student ID, your schedule, and other important information during out Drive Through Open House on Thursday evening from 4:00 pm - 6:00. We had our 1st Annual GJHS Wrangler Signing Day Ceremony! All of our George Wrangler recruits (New teachers and Admin) signed on to continue their educational journey at GJHS! We are excited to have them be a part of our team! #WeAreGeorge #DestinationGeorge

Wrangler Families: We are off to a fantastic start in getting our Digital Technology AUA's filled out. We have over 100 students that already have filled out their form, but we would love to have ALL of our students have their form filled out as soon as possible! This form allows your student to have access to their Chromebook to use for school work throughout the school year. Any student that does not have a signed AUA will not be allowed a device to use at school or at home. Again, we are asking your help in sharing this information with any friends and families that have students that will attend GJHS this year. We will have several computers at school starting Monday morning if you do not have internet access to fill out the form. You can also use your cell phone to access and fill it out. The more students that have filled out the form, the quicker it will be to distribute Chromebooks. Thank you for your help! Generally, we do not have supply lists for 8th or 9th grade students. We will again be supplying students this year with a supply pouch of the following supplies. Any additional class specific supplies may be requested by their teacher(s) after the first day of school. We are recommending students to have the following to start the school year: Backpack (We encourage you to use a backpack with protection for your student's Chromebook since it will be traveling back and forth to school everyday) Notebook Pencils Mask(s) Water bottle

Wrangler Families: We are very excited about the upcoming school year! Last year, we offered opportunities prior to the start of school for students to come up and grab their Chromebooks. We are again going to offer this opportunity this year. The first thing that we are going to need from every student is a signed Acceptable Usage Agreement (AUA). We cannot give out any student a Chromebook until this form has been filled out. We are asking all families to fill out this AUA form online prior to Sunday, August 8th. This will help us to expedite the process of distributing Chromebooks to our students. Wrangler Families: We have collected a majority of our student's Chromebooks and chargers, but we still have a few students that have failed to turn in one or both. Please remind your student to turn them in, if they have failed to do so. Any Chromebook not turned in will come with a $300 replacement fee. Any charger not turned in will come with a $40 replacement fee. Also any student with an outstanding charge for a repair or replacement to their Chromebook or charger will not be assigned a Chromebook or charger to use during summer school. They will also not be assigned either for next school year until their fee has been paid in full. Thank you so much for your understanding and assistance in this matter.
